Been a long break away from updating.. I've done lots of blog reading, however, in the interim. I feel as if I enjoyed my departure from my own interests for a while, reading about others' goals and the steps they take towards them.
In my net travels, I've seen many a business that has a blog in addition to a website, and I am beginning to wonder what approach would work best for me. As a firm believer in concise web page copy (not blog postings, mind you!), and also someone who thinks a possibility to death before getting started, a blog might be the thing. I could use the "about" page to describe my services and fees, and bookmark relevant posts in a sidebar. Interesting info/commentary could be offered as the attraction.
Doing both is an option, but I've spent so much time designing sites in my mind, then blowing them away. A blog seems like an interesting compromise, and my domain registrar offers free blogs if one purchases a new domain. I could also grant others posting access to the blog, as need arose.
It's also a quick solution - I could set up the blog in an afternoon - but I wonder if it would make me seem less professional. Then again, I do need to get the ball rolling.. I'll sleep on it.
